Eraserheads Reunion Concert - The Fort Open Field (08-30-08)

The much anticipated (and somewhat controversial) reunion concert of The Eraserheads. Though the gig had to be cut short due to Ely's health condition (only the first set of 15 songs was finished), for me it was still worth it. By the way, please medyo pagtyagaan nyo na yung pictures, medyo malabo at malayo sila. Hehe!

After the event, we also had a mini-reunion of sorts. It was supposed to be the "celebration" para sa championship ng Ginebra last conference but unfortunately, hindi na nakasunod sila Terence and Thina (as well as King Louie). Anyways, for sure naman may kasunod pa ito. Till we meet again then. =)

All's Well That Ends Well

The month of September is coming and thankfully, the things that were bothering me at the start of this month turned out fine just like I hoped. I somehow cleared my name at the office (regarding that little miscommunication about us reporting in late) at nakalipat na din ako ng place. Though to some people it may look like a "downgrade", moving in from a 2-storey 2-room apartment unit to a single studio-type room on my own, it was exactly the way I wanted it to be. Haha!

Gaya nga ng kasabihan, all's well that ends well. New place, fresh start, new life I guess. I must admit I'm still adjusting with my new environment pero I'm sure naman na in a short while masasanay din ako. And since it's going to be the -ber months already, might as well start my Christmas holiday mode na din. Hehe!

Bring It On, E-Heads...

Gaya nga ng usap-usapan, mukhang one time big time lang talaga ito kaya kahit medyo magkaloko-loko ang budget ko after this e ok lang, at least I'm going to witness and be a part of history. I hope sulit ang bayad at pagkakapila ko kanina sa SM North Edsa by Saturday. Kitakits!!!

Transportmers

This pinoy version of the transformers was done by someone called konserns and some of his/her other works can be found at konserns.deviantart.com.

Hehehe!

Our 2 to 3 Seconds of Fame

Last Tuesday afternoon, it was raining cats and dogs dito sa Quezon City. But my officemate and I had to go to the office for some activity kaya naman kahit bumubuhos na ang ulan e wala kami choice kundi sugurin ito. What we saw on the TV later on ang ikinagulat namin.

Ako yung naka-green shirt with gray umbrella sa left side. And take note, ndi yan still photo lang. Our “exposure” lasted for 2 to 3 seconds din. O di ba, we were seen on national television on primetime! Haha!

Stupid Love

“Never allow someone to be your priority,

while allowing yourself to be their option.”

I heard this line from Mel Tiangco and Joey de Leon as their parting words for their show's episode last night. No, I'm not really a huge fan of their show, it just so happened na yun ang duty ko kagabi so I had no choice but to ingest to the server the shows for airing and in effect “watch” them as well (quality check in other words...). Anyways, the said one-liner stuck in my mind the moment I heard it because I can somehow relate to its message. For me, basically, this line is just a glorified version of the phrase “huwag maging tanga.”

Why make someone the center of your world when he/she doesn't even know how to appreciate you? Save a little respect for yourself. Maraming tao pa naman dyan who can really appreciate you for who you are and everything that you do. Don't waste time and effort for someone who only uses you for their convenience. I know some people would say na ok lang yun kasi mahal naman nila yung tao. Mga mas pinipiling maging martyr. Personally, I don't have anything against those people na magsasabi nun but for me, that's crap. I almost fell for that kind of reasoning not so long ago but lucky for me, I woke up just in time.

The Change from a Tiger to a Kitten...

Total domination for 3 quarters, up by as much as 16 points and still up by 13 points before the start of the 4th quarter. Monster stats as usual for the reigning MVP of the league. In the end, talo pa din. Olats. Kamote. Totally disappointing and disgusting to watch especially if you're a Thomasian (or in my case, a former Thomasian) following the games. Masakit man sabihin pero in my opinion, they can kiss their Final Four hopes goodbye with that kind of a loss to the Tams yesterday (unless the other teams from the top 4 can just roll over and die). And for some added kicks they can even change the school monicker from the "Growling Tigers" to the "Purring Kittens." Walang kaso sa akin yun...

Blue Eagles - Growling Tigers 1st Rd UAAP 71st Season

The last time I watched a UAAP game live was almost a year ago, also an Ateneo-UST game. That time Ateneo won courtesy of Kirk Long's buzzer beater. Last Sunday, it was some sort of deja vu. Nope, ndi na naman naka-buzzer beater si Long, naka-malufet na 3pointer lang naman si Jai Reyes during the crucial stretch of the game to virtually seal the game for the Blue Eagles. Bottom line, the result was still the same from the last time we watched the game live, talo pa din ang Purring Kittens.. este... Growling Tigers pala. Nice game all throughout but a loss is still a loss. Pareng Donnie, nakaisa na naman kayo, congratulations! You may have won this battle but the war is far from being over. May buong second round pa ahead. Hehehe!
