Mahal's Birthday (12-23-08)

Nope, hindi po yung "mahal" na alam ng iba ang tinutukoy ko dito. Hindi po ito ang "mahal" na patay na patay kay jimboy at mahilig magsabi ng "churi po... churi po..." pag nasa TV (at ang paboritong gamit sa bahay ay sofa. kung bakit? wahahahaha!).

Ang tinutukoy ko pong "mahal" ay ang mahal naming lahat na si Cher (Cheryl Ann Vinluan for long. haha!). Happy happy birthday and maraming salamat po uli for inviting us to share your special day with you. May God bless you more and may all your wishes come true. =P

Kala Bar and Resto (12-20-08)

Tumakas muna ako sa christmas party sa b-haus para sumunod sa kanila sa Harbour Square. This was a celebration of sorts sa pagkakapanalo nila Abet (and ni Ms. Melanie din) sa kanilang photography class. Kaya naman from Kamias sugod agad ako sa Roxas Blvd as soon as I can. Buti nakahabol pa. Hehehe! Congrats sa inyong mga nanalo!!

    -- na andun ako mismo? GMA christmas party last friday sa amoranto stadium with officemates. pero kung nakita ko lang e yung sa Paskuhan sa UST last night, habang nakasakay ako sa LRT2. kita doon e. haha!

    -- yes, in some ways.

What are your plans for tonight?
    -- christmas party naman dito sa b-haus. 6 christmas parties (or reunions) for 6 consecutive days. whew! daig ko pa ang artista.

    -- romantic date? nope. just met with old friends from college last thursday.

    -- yung officemate ko si Reimond

And what was that conversation on the phone about?
    -- kung papasok daw ba ako kasi anong oras na, hindi niya alam na nakipagpalit ako ng sked that day. naputol tuloy ang halos kauumpisa ko pa lang na tulog noon. pambihira talaga!

    -- sino ba si "someone" ko in the first place? meron ba?

What are your plans for the weekend?
    -- party later then off to work again by tomorrow (back to reality... tapos na party!)

Do you think a lot of people think or say bad things about you?
    -- malamang, pag hindi ako nakatingin o nakikinig. some people i know probably think na i'm bad or something even though wala naman talaga ako ginagawa. ang hirap malagay sa situation na ganito minsan.  =(

    -- last week

    -- good enough. hopefully tomorrow and the next ones are better.  =)

6 Days of Christmas (parties)

(Excuse me lang po pero consider this as my own version of a "vanity post" kasi lagi akong nasa mga pictures dito. Pagbigyan na po, Christmas naman e. Hehehe! =P)

Para sa akin, wala nang mas lulupit pa siguro sa week na ito pagdating sa mga party tuwing sasapit ang panahon na ganito. Just as the title of the album suggests, imagine having to attend 6 different christmas parties for 6 consecutive days? Hindi pa kasama dun yung isa pang christmas party din na nauna na last Friday (the GMA party itself). Daig ko pa talaga ang isang artista (sabagay artistahin din naman ako e, ayaw ko pa lang kasi pa-discover. o wag na umangal please... basa na lang hahaha!). Pero nabutas din halos ang bulsa ko dahiil sa kaliwa't-kanang "forced" contributions at exchange gifts para sa mga parties na ito. Haay, pagbigyan na lang, minsanan lang naman dumaan ang panahon na ganito. And after all, this is the season of giving di ba?

The pics here were actually from just 3 of those 6 parties. I skipped the party on the 4th day to be with my college friends for dinner / mini-reunion (my previous post here) then tumakas naman sandali sa 6th day para humabol sa Harbour Square celebrations. Kung bakit walang pics yung iba e simple lang, tamad na ko magkukukuha ng pictures pag ganito. Actually puro nenok nga lang sa mga officemates ang lahat ng mga pics sa album na ito e, haha! =P

This is a collection of pictures ng mini-reunions this year naming magkaka-tropa since our college days. I know medyo konti lang yung happenings for the entire year (4 times lang actually) pero pag nagsama-sama naman kami e parang ilang araw lang ang nakalipas. Ganun na kami at home sa isa't isa. Most of us have known each other for almost 10 years already kaya wala na sigurong makakapag-question kung gaano katibay ang samahan. Too bad our schedules at work usually don't allow us to do more gatherings like these. Minsan talaga sagabal ang trabaho sa lakwatsa at barkada. Pambihira!!! tsk tsk tsk...

The "videoke" pics were from the March reunion, tapos ung "Burgoo" pics were from the April version. Yung "pizza parlor" pics were from the May edition tapos yung huling batch was from yesterday (mainit-init pa). Some of the pics here were from Jayjay's trusted ixus cam (ang tita ng aking suzie hehe!).

It was good to see you guys (and gals) again and hope to see more of you in the future.

Para sa mahabang pinagsamahan nating lahat at sa mas mahaba pang inuman... este... pagkakaibigan pala! Kampay!!! =P

La Mesa Ecopark Teambuilding (Dec. 14, 2008)

Pasensya na po kung ako ang last poster ng pics from this event, medyo busy lang kasi sa sunod-sunod na parties sa office (not to mention na medyo under-the-weather pa lately dahil kulang sa tulog). Anyways, better late than never sabi nga nila kaya eto na po, pics from the team building exercise ng Extreme Outdoor Club ng Thomson-Reuters at the said venue and at the said date.

Unlike most of the marshalls ng event, ndi po ito ang first time ko dito sa venue. Yun nga lang eto ang "bura-cay moment" ko (alam niyo na ang tinutukoy ko malamang). What a way to overwrite those existing files from my brain hahaha!

Ang na-assign na station sa akin to watch was the rapelling-wall climbing-zip line station so most of the pics here were from that area. But since natapos ako agad e sumunod na din kami sa post ni Terence sa taas (na noon ay mababaliw na ata hehe!) then sa home base, ang "Narra Pavillion" (kunwari).

Salamat kay King Louie for inviting us to be part of the event at sa uulitin, pag kailangan mo uli ng volunteer at libre sked, just give us a call. For the rest of the group (Abet, Cher, Joyce, Mei-mei, Donnie, Ate Jen, Terence, and Josiah) salamat for another fun weekend! Sana maulit uli ang ganito. Hehe!

On Borrowed Time...

Drowned by the Pacquiao fever yesterday was the sad news about Marky Cielo's untimely death. Alam ko most of you may say "sino ba yan?" or "hindi ko naman kilala yan..." especially those of you who are fond of watching the shows from the Kapamilya network. Admittedly, kahit ako nga mismo na kaparehong station na niya nagta-trabaho e hindi din kabisado kung saan shows ba talaga siya lumalabas. But I did see the kid before at the office more than a few times. The last time I saw him was only a few days ago, sa labas ng old studio 3 malapit sa gazebos/smoking area, if i remember right.

Although I'm not really among his avid fans, nalungkot pa din ako to hear such news. Lahat nga kami sa office kagabi parang natulala din nung narinig namin yung balita. Kailan lang kasi e nakakasalubong mo pa siya sa office and then all of a sudden, he's gone forever. Nakakapanghinayang din because, after all, he was just 20 years old at the time of his death. Marami pa sanang pwede mangyari sa career niya at sa buhay niya. Same impact when news of the likes of Rico Yan and recently lang, Heath Ledger, also came out. It's always a downer to hear people die so soon.

Yun actually ang reason kung bakit ako napa-post ng ganito. These kinds of news really makes me think about the way how I have to live my life as well. Alam naman nating lahat na we are all living on borrowed time kaya naman we should make the most out of it. We must be thankful for all the blessings that we have received and learn to appreciate people around us more. Learn to cherish what we have instead of asking for what we don't have (and showing those long faces pag hindi nakuha ang gusto). In a few weeks time we're going to celebrate Christmas again, how are we so sure that the faces we are seeing around us now would still be there next Christmas di ba?

Frankly speaking, hindi naman po sa takot ako mamatay ha, but sana man lang before I leave this world e malaman ko na at least I did something good to those people around me. If I knew that I made even a small but positive difference in another person's life then I can say that at least I did my part. Salbahe kasi ako e. Hehe!

Let's Get This (RACE) Party Started! (12-06-08)

Nope, hindi po ito isang grand EB party (though for some in the group e parang ganun na nga kasi dun pa lang na-meet personally yung iba. hehe!).


These pictures were from the Christmas party of friends of RACE last Saturday at Niche Grille. But wait... there's more! Not only was it a Chistmas party, it was an advance birthday celebration na din para sa Mahal ng lahat, si Cher. Hope you liked the surprise for you.


Sa lahat po ng mga present ng gabing iyon (at pati na din sa mga physically absent pero present pa din naman in spirit), maraming salamat po for another memorable night with all of you. What a party indeed, truly one for the books. No other better way to celebrate a party than to be with your close friends and family. May we have more gatherings like this in the future (kahit hindi na pasko or special occassions hehe!).


** P.S. ** Salamat nga pala sa mga nagbigay ng gifts that night. I was never really expecting to receive anything other than my exchange gift (haha!) so thank you so much. To Ate Jen, Terence, Thina, and King, your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated.
