One Fine Day at E.K. (Jan. 30, 2010)

Spent the weekend with this bunch of crazy but fun-to-be-with people. Mga hindi ata nauubusan ng energy sa katawan kaya naman after being at Enchanted Kingdom for almost the entire day ay sinundan pa ng mini-concert sa Platinum KTV near Makati Ave.

Maraming salamat kay Otchie for making the necessary effort and giving time to plan this trip. Iba talaga ang powers mo bading! Hahaha! And to the rest of the group, maraming salamat din po for another memorable and fun weekend. Kitakits ulit sa susunod na pag-aadik. :D

One Fun Roller Coaster Ride

Roller Skates ride @ Enchanted Kingdom (01-30-10)

Pagkatapos ma-occupy ng tropa halos ang buong ride (may isang row lang ata na hindi), I tried capturing the entire less-than-a-minute ride in video at eto ang lumabas. Sensya na po, shaky hands... shaky din naman kasi buong yung ride. Haha! :D

The Birit Ladies

eto ang classic example ng kasabihang "singing from the heart." mga may pinaghuhugutan habang kumakanta kaya naman todo ang performance level. hehe!

a 10 minute cheesy poem

ang pag-ibig ay sadyang mapaglaro minsan

sensya na medyo cheesy, naalala ko lang kasi yung nareply ko sa text ni jhen kagabi sa text nya about her cousin getting married already. for some unknown reason lumabas ang mga linyang ito sa utak ko and after 10 mins, boom! cheesiness. baka effect ng food binge at unlimited ice tea na tinira ko bago ako natulog kagabi. lolz.

boss... dibidi... dibidi...

I remember during our early college days, isa sa mga paboritong pastime naming magkabarkada (calling Jayjay and Jepoy) ay ang tumambay sa may Hidalgo St. sa Quiapo para maghanap ng mga pirated VCD's (di pa masyado uso DVD noon). I know, I know, calling the attention of OMB and VRB, pero nagpapakatotoo lang po ako. Haha!

Being students that time na patuloy na humihingi lang ng allowance kay nanay at tatay, siyempre limitado lang ang mga budget para gumala sa mga sinehan kaya naman dinadaan na lang sa piratang vcds pag may gustong panoorin na sine. Ano nga ba naman ang P20-P30 per title para sa P100 pag sa sine di ba? Sabi pa namin noon, aanhin pa namin ang original kung may pirated naman? Yeah, you heard it right, shoot us now. Haha!

Fast forward to present day, marami na din nagbago somehow. Obviously hindi na humihingi ng allowance sa mga magulang dahil nakatikim na ng konting yabang because of work (haha!). At since medyo naging maarte na nga sa buhay, tinalikuran na din ang dating nakagawian. Kinain ang mga dating sinabi at pareho na kami ngayon ng mga barkada ko na mga original dvd's or vcd's na ang preferred (take note, the term is "preferred"  lolz). Compared naman kasi sa pirated, na-realize namin na mas sulit naman ang pera sa orig. Pwede pang paulit-ulit nang hindi natatakot na hindi na mabasa ng player kasi parang "nabura" na ang laman ng disc. haha!

Kaso naman, hindi din pala ganun kadali mangolekta kung walang masyadong (extra) pera. Buti na lang nauso ang mga sale sa record bars lately kaya I got to buy some nitong past two months. Yun lang ayaw ko muna tumambay ulit sa mga malls and record bars kasi baka mapabili pa ulit ako, ang dami ko pa naman gustong bilhin pa na dvds (and audio cds actually). Kailangan mag-control ng bulsa, dami pa naman galaan ahead. Hehe!  :P

Gabgab's First Birthday (Jan. 18, 2010)

Maraming salamat kay Sally at sa kanilang family for inviting us to celebrate with them Gabgab's birthday at Aquasphere. Nice party, kumpleto hanggang sa giveaways. Hehe!

We had fun Sally, salamat pong muli. And may Gab do have a wonderful childhood ahead of him with God and your family's guidance siyempre. Happy birthday Gabgab! :P

Mount Pinatubo - Death March National Shrine (Jan. 09, 2010)

Talk about starting the "wanderlust season" on the right foot. The first out-of-town trip for the new year was a bit taxing physically but make no mistake, it was all worth it. Nothing beats the combination of the majestic view of a natural wonder and the company of nice yet crazy friends. Haha!

Nawa ito'y magsisilbing magandang umpisa ng marami pang galaan para ngayong taon na ito. Long way to go, kitakits ulit sa mga susunod pang trips mga companiero de lakwatsero. hehe! :P

Unlucky in love, Unlucky in career?

   Churi naman, sabi ko magbabasa na lang ako dito after nung previous post ko pero napa-react lang ako kasi nung nabasa ko ito kanina. Just consider this na lang as my minor contribution to the group's effort of bringing Multiply back to life. Hahaha!

   I was reading the Philippine Star kanina online (sorry di na uso sa akin ang bumibili talaga ng diyaryo, nagiging clutter kasi siya pag tumagal dito sa kwarto) and I read Ricky Lo's article about Heart Evangelista (who happens to be one of my celebrity crushes by the way... at alam ko may mag-re-react dyan somewhere haha!).

   The first line of the said article says: "Lucky in career. Unlucky in love." referring to the old adage as Heart's fate daw for 2009. Then this one can be found near the end of the article:

   This is where I became lost somehow. Of course we know that the said old adage is not only for Heart but for everyone, meaning in general. And we all know na pag binaliktad natin siya ang mangyayari naman ay "Lucky in love, Unlucky in career." Kaso, yun lang ba talaga yun? Kasi parang ako ata ay neither of the two possibilities. Hahaha!

   Well, although I do have a "career" (meaning job), it's not really going great as in GREAT in all caps. I've been doing the same job for 4 years now pero ganun pa din naman. No promotion, very minor change in salary. I guess "stable" is the right term but not really great as what the adage suggests.

   Then comes the "love" part. Where's the luck for me sa usapang ito? Parang it's hard for me to see getting lucky on this one anytime soon, unless some form of a welcome miracle happens. Hahaha!

   O well, I think I just have to make the adjustments about the way I look at things. I should learn how to concentrate more... think of a half-full glass.  :P

My 2009 in One Blog

Mine is kind of late pero pardon me, nakigaya lang po. Di bale, after this naman ay balik na po ulit ako sa pagiging spectator... :P

Here are most, if not all, of the good times I've been fortunate enough to be a part of noong nakaraang 2009 as seen thru the eyes (or should i say lens) of my trusted point-and-shoot camera. Sa lahat po sa inyong nakasama ko sa mga events na ito, both to the old friends I reconnected with and to the new ones I met and gained, to all the memories we've shared, maraming salamat po! Thank you for making the past year a memorable one.

Now I don't know kung saan naman ako mapapadpad at pupulutin this year, at kung sino-sino pa ang makakasama at makikilala ko along the way. I'd be lucky enough if I can do again as much as at least half of what's in here, and I'll be more than blessed if I will live to see and have a chance to make another blog like this exactly a year from now. Gaya nga ng nasabi ko sa stat ko sa Facebook nung New Year, bahala ka na po Lord, thy will be done. I'll just learn to go with the flow.
